Getting Started

Hello! Welcome to CHARMED: AFTER THE PROPHECY, a fan-based continuation of the TV show Charmed in the RPG format! This thread is our attempt to break down the game's rich mythology, setting, and set of rules to a list of much simpler terms for beginning members. This is to help you get through the registration process as smoothly as possible! This is not a complete comprehensive list of all of the rules or mythology for CHARMED: AFTER THE PROPHECY, and it is not intended to act as a replacement for reading the actual rules.

The purpose of this guide is to provide potential members with the gist of the game mechanics, which will hopefully help you determine if CHARMED: AFTER THE PROPHECY will be a good fit for your role-playing needs. When it becomes apparent that you will need a more thorough understanding of how the board functions and operates, please comb through the various threads provided in this sub-forum. If you're still confused, feel free to post within the Help Forum to gain staff or member assistance.

Game Mechanics
  1. In-character forums use pre-built location threads for in-character posting.
  2. When a character leaves for a new location, write the newest location in bold text so readers know which thread to follow your character to.
  3. Characters must avoid "jumping locations" and travel from location to location via "real world" means: Front Entrance thread to Dance Floor thread etc.
  4. Characters cannot post within multiple locations simultaneously without the use of a special power or magics.
  5. The outcome to all spells, potions, rituals or magical artifacts are posted solely by the account MAGIC.
  6. Telephone calls and text messages must be written using assigned templates.
  7. The dreams of characters take place within individual dream orbs for each character, which are located in the DREAM PLANE forum.
